I have to brag. I caught a mouse last night in the basement. Ok, so it was already dead, so what? I, Axel G Chocholoza is the one who FOUND it and alerted Dad by barking solidly for half an hour while staring at the spot of death.
Dad did the heavy lifting - crawling behind the stairway to retrieve it, but I grabbed it and did a happy dance around the room with it in my mouth and then handed it over to Dad for disposal.
I've been after these buggers forever. At last I got one!

Saw your message to the wire discussion group this morning. Hopefully you got Axel to the vet and he is OK. If he was running around, he may have done something to his back and have a pinched nerve causing him to hold up the one leg......sorry to hear about his problems and hope he is going to be OK.
'N hope ya didn't eat the mouse, Axel, they can carry lots of germs.....especially if they're dead already....

I heard an awful squeaking this morning, but it was just Mom stepping out the front door and finding three dead mice brought to her by Nigel the cat. Nigel was a busy boy last night, I can tell you. Those mice sure did smell interesting, though, until they were whisked away and disposed of.

Now ya gotta be careful when ya run 'n jump cause ya can hurt yer back or leg or any other part that ya use.
'N don't get hooked on those pain killers either.....ya don't want ta become an addicted wire 'n have ta go ta rehab......aw, but yer sure ta be fine 'n dandy in no time...but stay away from those dead mice...the live ones are more interestin'....ya can silence their squeaker with one crank of yer jaw....now that's bein' empowered fer sure......
