Hey, it's Henry!

What a beautiful day...and you won't believe what happened to me!

Dad and I were out on a walk in our familiar park surroundings when Dad sees a couple and a dog in the distance relaxing by a bench. As we got closer, Dad realized the dog was another Wire Fox!! We went and introduced ourselves and met Henry, a year old wire from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. They were here on a weekend visit. It's always nice to see a fellow wire, but I was in one of my aloof the humans chatted for a while and then we continued on our way.

At the time, Mom was at the supermarket doing her weekly chore, when Dad had the brilliant idea of taking a photo of Henry and Me and sending it to Mom's cellphone. So there was Mom, perusing toilet paper in isle 9 when her phone rang. She thought it was Dad to remind her to buy something - but instead up came a photograph entitled, "me and my wire friend Henry". Mom was most confused, and when she realized what was up, she was most disappointed to have missed meeting Henry.

I'm the wire with the black saddle. Henry was mostly white.

When she got home, she interrogated Dad - who were they? how old was Henry? did we play? Was he stripped? where were they staying...poor Dad. Mom can be relentless when it comes to meeting other Wire foxes!

Tomorrow it's just me and Dad all day as Mom has to work at some big event - I don't see why I can't go with...but Mom says her work colleagues would not be impressed to have me along. Humpff!

Yeah! Me too! When the Dog Mother spotted a wire walking past our building, she rushed out...dragging me along...but then I saw it was another wire & I was pretty excited to meet HER!!!

Later that same day, I met a nice couple from Vancouver here to visit their 95 year old mom who lives upstairs. They were so excited to see ME & the lady actually encouraged me to jump up & kiss! kiss! kiss!

Turns out that they have a wire spa-ing it in Vancouver while they were visiting here.

Just call me the Wire Fix.

Of course my mom did not have a camera to capture this Special Moment.

P.S. Her mom loves me too & always wants kisses!najesu

Hi Axel,

Thats cool that you got to meet another Wire. I have not come across any Wire's here on Long Island. Sounds like you had a great time.

J1 loves it when we bump into another WFT because it doesn't happen very often. Once she gets started chatting it's impossible to drag her away. Henry looks very cute (but not as cute as you!) J x

It's always SO MUCH FUN to meet other doggies that are the same breed - I always get really excited when I see another Airedale so I know how you felt!!!

Looking good Axel...

That's awesome Axel, I've only met 2 WFT's in Melbourne and they come from the same breeder. How about dropping by my blog sometime and signing my guest book! xxx Asta down under

WOW Axel,

You met another wft right in your own park! And all the way from Harrisburg yet! That's amazing. I have never seen another wft, but I hear they are real cute. Was Henry cute? Did you tell him about our blogs? Maybe he can join us.

Your pal,

I LOVE YOU said...
